Hydrology Essentials: From Theory to Practice

Wednesday 5th February | 12 PM GMT

Undertaking hydrological analysis is crucial for accurate and reliable hydraulic modelling. This webinar, led by Cristina Agafon-Danila, Customer Success Lead for Flood Modeller and Senior Hydrologist and Hydraulic Modeller at Jacobs, will guide you through the application of hydrology in hydraulic modelling.

Together with Cristina, you will delve into various UK flood estimation methods and apply the Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH) methodology using industry-standard tools like ReFH2 and WINFAP to derive flood hydrology. Cristina will guide you through the process of identifying and verifying gauge stations, and using their data to create flow estimation points and derive flow time series for hydraulic modelling. She will provide a live demonstration of Flood Modeller’s Hydrology+ module, showcasing its seamless integration with ReFH2 and WINFAP, and how it enhances workflows, tools, and automation for both hydrologists and hydraulic modellers.

Hydrology+ covers all stages of hydrological analysis, including data collection and visualisation, catchment schematisation, ReFH2 and WINAP analysis, reconciliation of methods, application of hydrology and reporting.
